Deaf Camp Report

Thanks to the good help we had for Deaf Camp once again this year, things went off real well. For a short time on Saturday we could have used a couple more guys and a couple more bows, but everyone seemed to have a good time and the heat was tolerable this year. We had some new faces helping this year and I think only one child was scared by the Wirts brothers. Some kids are just spooky. Anyway, thanks to all for the help and I hope next year can be as good. Next year will be ten years so if yoiu have ever made a Deaf Camp in the past, I hope you can make it back for the ten year annaversary.

I had a great time while I was there, Dennis! Sorry I couldn't stay any longer but I had other obligations. I'll be there next year. Your wife talked to me about the PVC bows - I think that's a great idea! I can send you the plans if you want them.

We had a great turn out for our free garage sale, back-to-school give away and free hot lunch. I can't remember how many families were served but it was a consierable number.

Hey Dennis, did that spooky kid say which one of us scared him? Probably Mike. Seriously though, I had a great time and plan on helping out as long as I am able to.

I know my wife took photos and so did some others. She plans on putting together a table with photos and Deaf Camp info at the festival. I will see to it that she wiill get some photos to someone who cn get them on the website soon. If she doesn't, I'll stop cooking dinner and putting out. For the record, it was Mike that scared the little kid. I just didn't want to single anyone out.
