What kind of broadheads are you using this season? What are your likes & dislikes in heads. What width cut & weight. That sort of thing.

Butch....inquiring minds are wandering ;), what are your likes & dislikes in broadheads?
I used Bear Razorheads for many years. Never used the bleeders, because I heard about them coming out, and staying inside the animal. Then I switched to Zwickey 2 blades for the durability.
Both heads were easy to sharpen, and resharpen in the field. Easy to tune, never a problem shooting either, and were 125 gr.

Zwickey 2 blades. Been using them for 30 years.

I'm going to be using Zwickey Deltas & 175 Ace Super Express. Got my arrows set up so that the heads are pretty close to each other in weight. I want a big cut. Both are easy to file sharpen & hold up good.

I've been using the Ace 175 grain Super Express heads for years now and they are awesome! Here are some pics of the damage they can do. One in the entry wound and the other is the exit wound. If you didn't know better, you'd swear this was a gunshot wound.

Darren,
That looks plum nasty. I just got mine for this season. If they perform like that, I'll be very happy.

Butch, you put one of those Ace broadheads on a heavy arrow and you won't be disappointed! I've killed several deer with that setup and it's like hitting them with an anvil.

Darren,
The arrows I'm using now, with that head are about 585 grns. Using a 54# bow. Sure looking forward to season getting here.

Me too!!!!!! My dad has been putting the trailcams out on our farm and he's been getting lots of pictures of potential freezer meat. And...the first week of November I get to hunt up in northern MO with some friends of mine and get a chance at some really BIG deer. Come on September 15th!!!!!!!!

Me & Mudd will be hunting near Fulton again this year. Plan on hunting the whole week before gun season. Looking forward to as good a time as last year.

Darren..... is the 175 grain, Ace Super Express a 2 blade or 4 blade?

Rick, It's a two-blade head. Here's a picture of the one that did that damage. They are easy to sharpen, have a wide cutting diameter, and are relatively cheap. You can get 6 for around $22. I get mine from Mike at the Nocking Point.
