I had a great time at the UBM Rendezvous today!

Actually it started yesterday the moment I pulled in and threw my stuff out.

I was greeted with a big bear hug and a welcoming smile by my good friend and buddy Butch. Dave was there already as well as Ron. Kids were running around all over the place with their bows. What a great family gathering.

It wasn't long before the smell of fish frying filled the air. That always draws a crowd!!

I'd like to thank Ron and Dennis for being the cooks of some tasty fish and hush puppies. I didn't allow myself to taste the hush puppies but I could tell by the smell they were premium.

Ron was very accommodating to my attempt at staying on my diet and fried me some fish without breading. With just a little seasoning and I know I enjoyed mine as much as anyone there.

It was great to finally meet Mudd and Butch! Thanks for volunteering to help out at the Festival next year, Butch. I hope everyone who attended had a good time. I know I did even though it was a tad warm. The food was good and the company even better. We raised some money for Hunt Of A Lifetime and had fun while doing it. Thanks to all the vendors and all who helped out!

Darren, You forgot the music. As far as I'm concerned, the music is one of the highlights. I sure hope you guys continue to do that. When I get rich, I'm going to hire you guys to sit back in the woods and play while I flyfish.

Thanks, Dennis, that's nice to hear! I never really know if people enjoy what we do or just wish we would shut up and go away.

Regina and I had a good time, and that fish sure was good. I even had to see what batter that was fried in. I'll add a photo or two us....and if you'll notice I put a "really good shot" of mine, and a, well, you can see what shot I put of Regina....

Another great Rendezvous. The number of old regulars was down i hope due to the heat. The number of newer members was up.

The Bow skirmish was great. Large percentage of participation. There were 10 teams. The defending champs from last year made it to within 1 game of the shooting in the finals.

The 2010 winners were Curtis Waggoner and Adam and Amanda Koehler.
Congrats and good shooting. They never lost a round.

Next year if I make it I plan a children's skirmish before the adults.

Carlos, I never got to introduce myself, but it was nice to see you and Regina enjoying yourself.. Great fish dinner. Ron knows how to cook fish.
Looking at Regina's shot, with the background, anything that hits foam is good.
