Hello- just registered today and I thought I would ask a question that I cannot readily find in the regs. HAs anyone heard of the regulation prohibiting carrying a non-lethal arrow-tip while hunting? I know that some people take a field tip to shoot at a stump for sighting in or checking equipment once on stand. Or, some might take a "blunt" for rodent practice. Somewhere, sometime I thought I heard about this and I find that no-one else I know ever heard of it. Thanks

I haven't heard of a regulation that prohibits carrying a blunt or field tip while hunting, I would suggest contacting the Conservation Agent in your area. Personally, I would not carry a field point, but carry one blunt, judo, or some other type of small game head.

There is NO stipulation regarding broadhead use on game in Missouri...!
I stumped everyone including the instructors at my Bowhunters Education class last year. Knowing the answer I asked them all about what was the minimum cutting size of a broadhead allowed in Missouri..:)
Some people in that room had bowhunted more than 30 years and did not know there are NO broadhead requirements listed in our wildlife code.
We had a great discussion later in the day when a Conservation agent came to the class.
So legally you could hunt deer and any other game with a field point...

I knew years ago, there were no broadhead stipulations, but haven't hunted in the last few years. So, I didn't know if they had changed.
So legally you could hunt deer and any other game with a field point  but as ethical bow hunters, we all know better.

Right on Rick!! I should have included that in my post. We only shoot large game with "scary" sharp wide broadheads...
