Pictures of my new longbow

This is my new longbow made by David Dowell from Arlington, KS. David has a booth each year at the Flatrock Stickbow Carnival and I finally broke down and ordered one from him. This bow is 62" long and pulls 46#@28". The limb core is sassafrass and the limb veneer is curly maple. The riser is made from leopardwood and Laoation rosewood. To date, I have not shot it yet because of the weather and being busy. But if it shoots anything like it looks then I am gonna be very happy.

I will admit that is one good looking bow but looks like the shelf is cut on the wrong side!!! :D

What you fellers don't know is that a bow with the shelf cut for a left-hander automatically qualifies the shooter for handicapped hunts and parking.
